The SEMATECH Style Guide
The SEMATECH Style Guide establishes guidelines for
communicating SEMATECH information effectivelya SEMATECH style
and promotes the use of common, widely applied treatments
for tables, executive summaries, etc. This approach serves the broad customer
base of SEMATECH better than adopting standards from any single
company, professional organization, or government organization.
As much as possible, The Chicago Manual of Style was used to establish
these standards
because it is widely accepted. The Handbook of Technical Writing provided
standards for topics that are unique to technical documentation. Some topics
required more specialized
expertise.
