“The Impact of Emerging ESH Regulations on Manufacturing"

Monday, November 1
1PM-5PM

Moderators: Laurie Beu and Steve Trammel, ISMI
Significant changes are occurring in U.S. environmental regulation which have the potential to not only seriously impact U.S. manufacturing operations, but may eventually be a model that international jurisdictions use to craft their own country-specific environmental regulations.  This 4-hour workshop will provide an overview of important, emerging global ESH regulations such as the US EPA’s Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule and proposed greenhouse gas endangerment finding under the Clean Air Act, the European Union REACH regulation, the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, and other regulations. Industry experts will explain the substance of these regulations, review their implementation status and timeline, discuss the impact on semiconductor manufacturing and summarize the response by the industry to these challenges.
